Alexander Krichel
Alexander Krichel (* 1989 in Hamburg ) is a German pianist .
Life
Alexander Krichel started playing the piano at the age of six. As a schoolboy, he won the Mathematics Olympiad , the federal foreign language competition and the Jugend forscht competition in biology. Krichel was supported by the Rotary Club Hamburg as a schoolboy . He passed the entrance exam for the William Stern Society's remedial class for gifted mathematicians at the University of Hamburg with distinction .
At the age of 15, Krichel began his studies at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater as a young student .
Alexander Krichel has won numerous national and international music competitions and sponsorship awards, including Jugend musiziert and 1st prize at the International Steinway Piano Competition . Furthermore, in 2007 he received the Schrader Prize for the best musical performance in the entrance exams at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media, where he studied with Vladimir Vsevolodowitsch Krainew until his death in 2011. He is currently continuing his studies in London at the Royal College of Music with Dmitri Konstantinowitsch Alexejew . In 2013 he was awarded the ECHO Klassik as a young artist (piano).
Alexander Krichel received a scholarship from the Oscar and Vera Ritter Foundation as well as the PE support group for students of Musik eV Mannheim and the stART program , with which Bayer Culture supports young artists over a period of three years.
Appearances
Krichel has already given concerts in the Konzerthaus Berlin , the Laeiszhalle Hamburg, the Herkulessaal and the Prinzregententheater in Munich, the Tonhalle Düsseldorf and the Beethoven-Haus Bonn. At festivals he was a guest at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival and the Kissinger Sommer . He has given international concerts in the USA , South America and at the renowned Piano aux Jacobins festival in Toulouse , France .
