Alexander Maria Wagner (born March 31, 1995 in Straubing ) is a German composer and pianist .

Life

At the age of four, Alexander Maria Wagner, who grew up in the Traitsching community, received his first piano at his own insistence. At the age of six he showed his extraordinary ability to improvise. His teacher wrote his first compositions for him when he was seven. At the age of fourteen he composed his first orchestral work. For this he received the recognition award from the Regensburg Cultural Foundation of REWAG . It was recorded on CD in Sofia by the Bulgarian National Philharmonic, under the direction of Alexei Kornienko , at his instigation.

Wagner began studying piano and composition privately with Franz Hummel in 2007 and continued his studies at the Salzburg Mozarteum in 2013 . He received further artistic influences from Theodor Breu ( Conservatoire Rachmaninoff , Paris ) and Pavel Gililov (Mozarteum Salzburg).

In autumn 2013 he wrote the incidental music for Wagner's brain, a piece about Richard Wagner . The play by Solveig Palm was repeatedly on the drama stage of the Bonn Opera listed. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Georg Trakl's death , the choral work Es cries the night, composed especially for this, was performed based on texts by the Salzburg poet. In January 2016 he made his solo debut in the Herkulessaal in Munich . Shortly thereafter, he performed with the Bohemian Chamber Philharmonic Pardubice under Marko Ivanović at Prague Castle in the Spanish Hall , the largest hall in the castle, which is usually not open to the public. In addition to numerous other concerts in Germany , his engagements have taken him to Austria , the Czech Republic , France and Switzerland, among others .
