Alexander Michailowitsch Buturlin ( Russian Александр Михайлович Бутурлин ; born September 3, 1981 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Kuban Krasnodar in the Vysschaja Hockey League since November 2012 .

Career

Alexander Buturlin began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth division of the HK CSKA Moscow , for whose professional team he was active in the Russian Super League from 1997 to 1999 . He was then selected in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft in the second round as a total of 39th player by the Montréal Canadiens , for which he never played. After the attacker had played from 1999 to 2001 in the Canadian Junior League Ontario Hockey League for Sarnia Sting , he returned to his Russian homeland, where he received a contract with Salawat Yulayev Ufa .

In the summer of 2002 Buturlin signed with HK Lada Tolyatti , for whom he was on the ice in the super league for the next five years. He was runner-up with Lada in 2005 and won the IIHF Continental Cup with his team at European level in 2006 . He started the 2007/08 season at his ex-club from Ufa, but left it after only five games and moved to its league rivals HK MWD Balaschicha . For the following season he took another ex-club with HK Lada Tolyatti under contract. For Lada, the winger scored five goals in 44 games in the 2008/09 season , the premiere year of the Continental Hockey League, and prepared another six. For the 2009/10 season Buturlin returned to the state capital for HK Spartak Moscow .

From October 2010 Buturlin was under contract with HK Traktor Tscheljabinsk in the KHL and completed 105 KHL games for this, in which he collected 24 scorer points. At the beginning of September 2012 he moved to Amur Khabarovsk , where he received a one-year contract. In November of the same year this was prematurely dissolved and Buturlin has been running since then for the HK Kuban Krasnodar in the Wysschaja Hockey League .

International

For Russia , Buturlin took part in the U18 World Junior Championship in 1999 and the U20 World Junior Championship in 2001 .
