Alexander Pavlovich Mereskin ( Russian Александр Павлович Мерескин ; born December 3, 1987 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Admiral Vladivostok in the Continental Hockey League since July 2018 .
Career
Alexander Mereskin began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of the HK Spartak Moscow , for whose second team he was active in the third-rate Pervaya League in the 2005/06 season . In the 2006/07 season he played in the Wysschaja Liga , the second Russian division, for Molot-Prikamje Perm , Neftjanik Leninogorsk and Sokol Novotscheboksarsk . He also spent the entire 2007/08 season at Neftjanik Leninogorsk . The 2008/09 season began the center at HK Lada Tolyatti from the newly established Continental Hockey League . For the team, however, he completed only three games in the KHL before he spent the following year and a half at the second division club Juschny Ural Orsk . In the 2010/11 season he stood for the PHK Krylja Sowetow Moscow and Toros Neftekamsk in the new second Russian division, the Wysschaja Hockey League , on the ice.
For the 2011/12 season Mereskin was committed by the KHL participant Metallurg Novokuznetsk . In May 2013 he left the club when he was exchanged for Artyom Gareev and Sergei Jemelin from Salawat Julajew Ufa . For Ufa, he completed almost 100 KHL games in the following two years before returning to his home club Spartak in July 2015.
He spent the 2016/17 season at HK Sochi , but was released from his current contract in May 2017. He was then without a club, before he was committed by Severstal Tscherepowez in November of the same year . He played 23 KHL games for Severstal and was then signed by Admiral Vladivostok in July 2018 .
