Alexander Pietsch

Alexander Pietsch (born June 1, 1972 ) is a German jockey in horse racing .

Pietsch began his training as a jockey with trainer Egon Czaplewski in 1989 in the then GDR in Berlin . After working in Berlin and with his father in Dresden , he moved to Mülheim an der Ruhr in 1998 . Further stations followed: He worked as a stable jockey with the trainers Angelika Glodde , Stefan Wegner , Dave Richardson , Hans-Albert Blume , Christian Freiherr von der Recke , Waldemar Hickst and Andreas Wöhler, among others .

In 2015 he won the German Jockey Championship for the first time , together with Andrasch Starke . In 2017 he was able to acquire this title again, this time together with Filip Minarik .
