Alexander Wladimirowitsch Jakowenko ( Russian : Александр Владимирович Яковенко ; born October 21, 1954 in Homel ) is a Russian diplomat who was ambassador to London from January 24, 2011 to August 24, 2019.

His father was Vladimir Kirillowitsch Jakowenko Яковенко, Владимир Кириллович (April 12, 1919 - August 31, 1996), commander of the partisan brigade named after him, DT Gulyaev, who commanded the territory of Belarus during the Second World War.

education

In 1976 he graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations . Diplomatic career
