Alexandra Gusetti

Alexandra Gusetti , originally named Alexandra Tschom , (* 16th September 1962 in Linz ) is an Austrian e philosopher , master carpenter, Qigong -Teacher and author.

Life

Alexandra Gusetti studied philosophy and art studies and received her PhD in philosophy from the University of Vienna in 2017 . Her work focuses on the interfaces between Eastern and Western (practical) philosophy, natural philosophy , transcultural health research, postmodern scientific philosophy and ethics . She lives in Linz and works in her own practice as a psychological-philosophical consultant, supervisor in the areas of practical philosophy , ethics and mindfulness-oriented Eastern practice. She also works as a conceptual employee in the field of school development, as a lecturer at the Upper Austria University of Education and at the Mozarteum on the subjects of diversity, value development, public health, personal development and biography work.

Career and work

In 1982 she co-founded the company GEA Linz, which produces healthy shoes and furniture, and in 1987 she was a founding member of the Fragile project (today: Gesellschaft für Frauen und Qualifikation GmbH), a training workshop for young women in the craft sector, which until then was unique in Austria. From 1987 to 1995 she worked as a master carpenter and social pedagogue in women's projects. From 1992 followed training in psychological counseling, systemic counseling , Eastern practice (Qigong, Taijiquan , meditation ) and supervision . In 2002, he took the university entrance qualification for philosophy at the University of Vienna, studied philosophy and art studies in Linz, and in 2010 the doctoral degree in philosophy at the Institute for Cultural Studies at the Art University Linz with Robert Pfaller . From 2010 onwards she conceived and led an integrative burnout therapy for teachers and management training on behalf of the network teachers health / education area Upper Austria in interdisciplinary cooperation.

Alexandra Gusetti is a member of the Society for Applied Philosophy of Austria as well as a board member and head of the training department of IQTO (representing the interests of Qi Gong, Taiji Quan and Yi Quan teachers in Austria).

Awards

In 2012, as a founding member of Fragile Holzwerkstatt , she received the City of Linz Women's Prize for her pioneering work in promoting women in the craft and technical professions.
