Alexie Alaïs (born October 9, 1994 in Kourou , French Guiana ) is a French javelin thrower .

Athletic career

Alexie Alaïs gained her first international experience at the CARIFTA Games 2010 in Vieux Fort , where she retired in the U17 age group in the 100 meter run with 12.63 seconds and won the gold medal in the javelin throw with 38.08 meters. The following year she won the CARIFTA Games in Montego Bay with 47.24 m in the U20 age group and then took sixth place at the World Youth Championships near Lille with 49.33 m, before she was 50 at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Trabzon , 94 m won the bronze medal. In 2012 she won the CARIFTA Games in Hamilton again with 47.17 m and was eliminated from the qualification at the Junior World Championships in Barcelona with 50.52 m, as well as at the 2013 Junior European Championships in Rieti with 40.83 m. In 2014 she won the U23 Mediterranean Championships in Aubagne with a width of 56.30 m .

In 2018 she qualified for the first time for the European Championships in Berlin , where she finished sixth with 60.01 m. The following year she took part in the World Championships in Doha , but was eliminated there with 60.46 m in qualification .

In 2018 and 2019 Alaïs became French champion in javelin throw.
