Alfons MJ Evers

Alfons MJ Evers (born July 9, 1918 in Amsterdam , † March 18, 1998 in Krefeld ) was a German manufacturer , publisher , antiquarian and coleopterologist .

Life

In 1959 Evers had to take a longer break due to health problems, some of which he spent in the Canary Islands . A series of excursions to the Canary Islands and twice to Morocco followed over the years . His further world trips took him in 1980 to Japan (with a visit to the Entomological World Congress in Kyoto ) and Indonesia , 1981 to the Galapagos Islands , 1982 to Hawaii and Tahiti , 1983 to the USA ( Florida ) and 1984 to South Africa . Then he spent a few vacations in the Canaries and one last time in 1994 in Morocco. He used all of these trips for entomological studies.
