Alfons Zitterbacke is a popular children's book character of the GDR , by Gerhard Holtz-Baumert was invented. Several books and the 1966 film of the same name by director Konrad Petzold tell humorous, but also thoughtful stories from the life of the rascal . Although this is not explicitly mentioned, various passages of the third volume suggest that the Alfons described there is the son of the main character from the first and second volumes.
