Alfonso zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg
Alfonso Maximiliano Victorio Eugenio Alejandro María Pablo de la Santísima Trinidad y todos los Santos Hohenlohe-Langenburg (born May 28, 1924 in Madrid , † December 21, 2003 in Marbella ) was a Spanish member of the international jet set and 1954 founder of the famous Marbella Club . Later he had a temporary sales license for Volkswagen in Mexico and Volvo in Spain. In later life he was active as a wine producer.
life and career
In the obituary of the New York Times he was referred to as the King of Clubs who also founded clubs for the jet set in the Persian Gulf, the Bahamas, the Philippines, Mexico and Miami.
He was born on May 28, 1924 in Madrid as the second of six children of the former Austrian Prince Max Egon zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg (1897–1968) and the Spanish nobles Doña María de la Piedad de Yturbe y Scholtz-Hermensdorff, Marquesa de Belvis de las Navas (1892-1990).
His first marriage was the 15-year-old Austrian Ira Fürstenberg in Venice in September 1955 . From this connection, which was divorced after five years and canonically annulled , two sons emerged: Christoph Prinz zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg (1956-2006), called " Kiko ", who died at the age of 49 in Thailand after being arrested in Lardyao , and the singer and ski racer Hubertus von Hohenlohe (* 1959). Alfonso's second marriage was from 1973 to 1985 with the former English actress Jacqueline Lane (* 1937; known under the name Jocelyn Lane ). From the marriage the daughter Arriana was born in 1975. From 1991 he was married to the American Marilys Healing (1941-2000) for the third time.
Alfonso zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg had a daughter Desirée, born in 1980, from a relationship with the actress Heidi Balzar . She also carried her father's name zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg until her marriage.
