Alfred Breiderhoff
Alfred Breiderhoff (born April 18, 1881 in Barmen ; † August 10, 1916 in Berlin ) was a German actor and acting teacher.
Life
Alfred Breiderhoff was the son of a businessman and grew up in Barmen, where he attended high school. He then studied philosophy in Bonn , Berlin and Rostock , but then turned to acting. He initially worked at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus. In 1911 he was a member of the Max Reinhardt Ensemble Berlin and played alongside Ferdinand Bonn , Rosa Bertens and Josef Klein in the Hofmannsthal production of King Oedipus the Teiresias . In 1914 and 1915 he gave acting lessons to Valeska Gert . In 1916 he played in two films: The Revenge of the Dead and The Unheimliche Haus (1st part). Breiderhoff was certified as having a "strong talent for charged comedy".
Breiderhoff died "suddenly of gas poisoning" at the age of 36.
