Alfred Bruggmann (editor)

Alfred Bruggmann (born October 6, 1896 in Winterthur ; † June 8, 1958 in Baden ) was a Swiss electrical engineer, corporate journalist and politician. He was a co-founder and poet for the Globi books.

biography

After his parents died in Dietfurt , Alfred Bruggmann grew up with a family of manufacturers. He was married to Maria Ida Brander from Hemberg . Their son "Fredi" Bruggmann was a cabaret artist.

Alfred Bruggmann graduated from the Technikum Winterthur as a qualified electrical engineer and worked at the BBC in Baden in construction and sales. From 1942 to 1958 he was the editor of the personal newspaper Wir und Unser Werk and wrote the glossaries of office servants Zwinkerli . From 1938 he was the author of the verses for the Globi children's books.

From 1945 to 1958 Bruggmann was a Catholic-conservative Aargauer Grossrat , from 1955 to 1958 a local councilor in Ennetbaden .
