Alfred Bruggmann (cabaret artist)
Alfred "Fredi" Bruggmann (born December 18, 1922 in Baden , † May 8, 2006 in Zollikon ) was a Swiss cabaret artist, screenwriter, director and producer.
Life
Alfred Bruggmann was a prominent representative of Swiss cabaret. From 1953 to 1976 he was part of the Rüeblisaft Cabaret together with Oskar Hoby , Regine Brandt and Ines Torelli (later Vera Furrer ) .
From 1965 to 1967 he was head of the entertainment department at the Zurich radio studio , where he a. a. Wrote radio and television plays. He then worked as a freelance writer, actor and director.
He also set numerous Globi books to music as cassettes - his father Alfred Bruggmann was a co-founder of the famous Swiss comic . For the opera Der Alchimist by Max Lang he wrote the libretto after The Alchemist by Ben Jonson .
He was married to Vera Furrer.
