Alfred Kipkoech Arap Rotich (born July 27, 1957 in Longisa ) is a Kenyan clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Kericho .

Life

Alfred Kipkoech Arap Rotich was ordained a priest on November 18, 1983 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him on March 9, 1996 auxiliary bishop in Nairobi and titular bishop of Iulium Carnicum . The Archbishop of Nairobi, Maurice Michael Cardinal Otunga , donated him episcopal ordination on July 3 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Zacchaeus Okoth , Archbishop of Kisumu , and Raphael S. Ndingi Mwana'a Nzeki , Coadjutor Archbishop of Nairobi.

On August 29, 1997, he was appointed military bishop of Kenya .

Pope Francis accepted his resignation as military bishop on December 30, 2016. On December 14, 2019, the Pope appointed him Bishop of Kericho. The inauguration took place on February 15 of the following year.
