Alfred Iossifowitsch Kutschewski ( Russian Альфред Иосифович Кучевский ; born May 17, 1931 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ; † May 15, 2000 in Moscow, Russia ) was a Russian Olympic champion and ice hockey player . He was buried in the Trojekurovo cemetery.

Career

During his career, the defender played for Krylya Sovetov Moscow . In 1951 he won the Soviet cup competition with Krylya Sowetow and in 1957 the Soviet championship . In addition, he and his team were runner-up in the USSR in 1955, 1956 and 1958. In total, he scored 37 goals in 240 games in the Soviet league . After the end of his career, Kutschewski remained as a coach with Krylja Sowetow until 1972 - initially as a men's coach, later as a young talent. He then worked as an ice hockey referee, sports journalist and the state sports lottery.

International

In 1954 he was appointed to the team of the Soviet national ice hockey team for the first time . On January 29, 1954, he was in a game against Finland for the first time for the Sbornaja on the ice. His international career was crowned with a gold medal at the 1956 Winter Olympics , having won the gold medal at the World Championships in 1954. For the national team, he scored seven goals in 51 international matches. On February 28, 1960, he played his last international match. In 1954 he was honored as Honored Master of Sports of the USSR , in 1957 with the Medal for Brave Work .

In 1996 he received the Order of Friendship .
