Alfred Perutz

Alfred Perutz (born August 5, 1885 in Trieste , † August 29, 1934 in Vienna ) was an Austrian dermatologist and syphilis researcher.

Alfred Perutz studied medicine at the University of Vienna between 1906 and 1911 , where he received his doctorate in 1912. He received his professional training in Vienna (among others with Salomon Ehrmann ) and in Würzburg . 1919 habilitated himself as dermatologist and Syphilidologe .

Professionally, he worked in Vienna at the Kaiser Franz Joseph Outpatient Clinic and Jubilee Hospital as head of the dermatological department. As a medical doctor, he dealt with the physiology of the genital organs, the physiological chemistry and pharmacology of the skin, as well as allergies in eczema and industrial diseases.

After his time as head of the department, he also worked as a collaborator on the lexicon of the entire therapy .

Alfred Perutz was buried in the New Jewish Department of the Vienna Central Cemetery (Gate 4, Group 15a, Row 6, No. 27).
