Career

Prucker gained his first successes on a national level. At the Italian Championships in 1947 he won the bronze medal in the individual Nordic combined . The following year he was able to win the silver medal behind Rizzieri Rodeghiero . Then he got a starting place at the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz the following year . After he had reached 29th place in cross-country skiing there, he was able to improve significantly as eleventh in the course of the combination. However, when he only reached rank 22 in jumping, he ended up only on rank 14 in the individual.

In 1950 he won the Italian championship for the first time. In 1951 Prucker had to give up again Rizzieri Rodeghiero before he won the title three times in a row from 1952 to 1954. At the Olympic Winter Games in Oslo in 1952 , he was unable to build on the performance in St. Moritz and only reached rank 39. However, he managed to improve to 12th place in the individual combination.

At the Italian Championships in 1954, in addition to the title in the combination, he was also able to win a medal in cross-country skiing for the first time and took bronze. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1954 in Falun , Prucker reached 62nd place in the cross-country skiing individual over 15 km. In 1955 and 1956 he won the fifth and sixth Italian championship titles in combination. He also won bronze again in cross-country skiing in 1956.

In Cortina d'Ampezzo he did not start cross-country skiing a little later at the 1956 Winter Olympics , but joined the team of Olympic special jumpers for the first time . From the normal hill, he landed on the 38th place with jumps on 67.5 and 68.5 meters. In the singles of the Nordic combined he achieved the best Olympic placement of his career with eighth place.
