Alfred Schobert

Alfred Schobert (* 1963 ; † November 18, 2006 ) was a German social scientist and publicist .

Life

Schobert studied with Jacques Derrida in Paris. Since the early 1990s, Schobert worked as a research assistant at the Duisburg Institute for Linguistic and Social Research (DISS).

He developed an extensive journalistic activity in magazines like Antifa Infoblatt , Der Rechts Rand , Das Argument , kultuRRevolution , DISS-Journal , Jüdische Allgemeine Wochenzeitung , Neues Deutschland , Konkret , Spex and Graswurzelrevolution .

Schobert's interests included the extreme right and its parties, organizations and journalism, as well as anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism , historical politics and so-called normalization, right-wing extremist music subculture and right-wing criticism of globalization .

In doing so, he observed and criticized in particular the French New Right and its influence in Germany, such as the weekly newspaper Junge Freiheit .
