Alfred Schreiber (actor, 1871)

Alfred Schreiber (born September 11, 1871 in Dresden , † August 1927 in Vienna ) was a German actor .

Life

Encouraged by the actor Adolf Klein , he had his talent tested by him. He took lessons from Karl Senff-Georgi (1855-1901). His first job was as a trainee at the court theater in Oldenburg . From 1892 to 1895 he worked in Görlitz , then in Freiburg, where he made his debut as "Lieutenant Black". In 1897 he was employed at the Thaliatheater Hamburg . In 1898 he completed his year of military service. In 1899 he went to the Hofbühne Coburg-Gotha, where he worked until at least 1902. For the last eighteen years he was a member of the German People's Theater in Vienna.

From 1918 at the latest until at least 1926, he also appeared in several silent films, including Alexander Korda's film Prince and Beggar Boy, shot in Vienna .
