Alfred von Strachwitz

Alfred Maria Johannes Augustinus Alexander Lampertus Count Strachwitz von Groß-Zauche and Camminetz (born September 25, 1854 in Bertelsdorf ; † April 23, 1926 ibid) was the owner of the manor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

His parents were Count Alexander von Strachwitz (* June 2, 1817; † February 14, 1866) and his second wife, Freiin Maria Hiller von Gaertringen (* October 21, 1824; † January 26, 1858)

After studying law, he initially embarked on a career as an officer before taking care of the management of his Bertelsdorf manor near Lauban from the mid-1880s . He was a member of the district council, head of office, state elder and landscape director.

From 1886 to 1918 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives for the constituency of Opole District 3 (Groß Strehlitz - Lublinitz) and from 1885 to 1887 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Opole and the German Center Party .

Alfred married Countess Alica Henckel von Donnersmarck-Romolkwitz (born June 16, 1859 - September 13, 1927) in Dresden on May 1, 1878 , a daughter of Lazarus IV. Henckel von Donnersmarck . The couple had several children:
