Alicia Linda Goranson (born June 22, 1974 in Evanston , Illinois ), better known as Lecy Goranson , is an American actress .

Goranson was best known for the role of Becky Conner in the sitcom Roseanne and its spin-off The Conners . In 1993 she left Roseanne to begin training at Vassar College . Sarah Chalke took over her role . In 1995 Goranson returned to production. The simultaneous stress of training and filming overwhelmed her, so she left the series again a year later. Since 2018 she has been playing the role of Becky again in the Roseanne spin-off series The Conners .

When Goranson took on the role of Becky in the series Roseanne again (season 8, episode 1), she was surprisingly asked by almost all family members: "Where the hell have you been?"
