Alisa Theresa Buchinger (born October 26, 1992 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian kumite - karateka . She is multiple U-21 European champion and was U-18 world champion in 2009 . At the 2016 World Championships in Linz , she became world champion in the weight class up to 68 kg. In the WKF world rankings she is in second place.

Life

At the age of five she began karate training with Manfred Eppenschwandtner at the Karate Union Shotokan Salzburg. Soon her talent showed and she achieved first successes in kumite. She is now still training with her first trainer, Manfred Eppenschwandtner. After finishing elementary school, she attended the SSM sports high school, where she soon trained every day like a professional. After graduating from high school, she was accepted as a sports soldier in the Austrian Armed Forces , where she is currently still active. In January 2014 she started studying business management in Salzburg.
