Alison Elliott

Alison Elliott (born May 19, 1970 in San Francisco , California ) is an American actress .

Life and accomplishments

Elliott lived in Tokyo for several years as a child . Upon returning to San Francisco, she attended high school with an arts profile. She worked as a photo model from the age of 14 .

Elliott made her actress debut in 1989 on the television series Who's The Boss? subsequently Sam in the model agency . In the comedy Always Trouble for Dojo , she starred alongside Thora Birch , Harvey Keitel and Mimi Rogers . In the film drama Wings of the Dove she played the role of the wealthy American Millie Theale , who is to be persuaded by her friend Kate Croy ( Helena Bonham Carter ) to marry her lover Merton Densher ( Linus Roache ). For this role, she won the Dallas-Fort Worth Film Critics Association Award and the Las Vegas Film Critics Society Award in 1998, as well as was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award .

Elliott took on one of the leading roles in the drama Red Betsy . In the film drama Birth (2004) she was seen on the side of Nicole Kidman . In the comedy Griffin & Phoenix , she played one of the bigger roles alongside Amanda Peet and Dermot Mulroney .
