Alison Inverarity
Alison Jane Inverarity (born August 12, 1970 in Perth ) is a former Australian high jumper .
In 1991 she won the Universiade and was eleventh at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo . The following year she came in eighth place at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, and in 1993 she was fifth at the World Indoor Championships in Toronto .
In 1994 she won the Commonwealth Games in Victoria and was seventh at the World Athletics Cup in London . At the 1995 World Cup in Gothenburg and the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, she was eliminated in qualification.
In 1998 she finished seventh at the World Cup in Johannesburg and won bronze at the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur . At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, she did not get past the first round.
She was eight times Australian champion (1991, 1993-1995, 1997-2000).
After the end of her sporting career, she married the decathlete Scott Ferrier .
