The Alkenbach is a kilometer long, western and left tributary of the Ruwer in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Trier-Saarburg .

The Alkenbach rises in the municipality of Lampaden at 404 meters above sea level . flows west through a wooded valley and finally flows into the Ruwer from the left between Lampaden and Ollmuth near the Hinzenburger Mühle at 258 meters above sea level.
