Allée couverte du Parc-Kerdic

The Allée couverte du Parc-Kerdic (also called Roche-Gouarandem ) is located on the low terrace of Parc Hiardié above the Villeneuve river (a topographical position rare for this type of monument) east of the hamlet of Coldabry and Saint-Connan and west of Saint-Gildas in the Côtes-d'Armor department in Brittany in France .

The gallery grave , originally covered with a hill, has only been preserved in its megalithic structure at around 12.0 meters long and 1.7 meters wide. The approximately seven meter long gallery is formed by eight bearing stones on the east and five on the west as well as two preserved ceiling slabs made of local granite (porphyritic granite of the Quintin massif). A ceiling slab about 2.5 m long, 2.0 m wide and 0.8 m thick has been preserved in situ . The approximately 5.0 m long, almost north-south oriented approximately 1.9 m wide corridor is only marked by two dry stone walls .

The gallery grave is described in the writings of Gaston Ernoult de La Chènelière 1880, Joachim Gaultier du Mottay (1810–1883) and A.-L. Harmois mentioned in 1910. During excavations, which were carried out by the mayor of Saint-Gildas in 1848, numerous bronze objects , including a spearhead, were found, which indicates a subsequent use of the Neolithic complex in the Bronze Age .

The monument has been classified as a Monument historique since 1963 .

Nearby are the menhir of Keranhouët (1965) and the three tumuli (1964), all classified as Monument historique .
