All because I like is the second studio album by the German folk rock band Ougenweide .
It was released in 1974 by Polydor and was re-released in 2006 by Bear Family Records .
General
The second album, which was released just a year after Ougenweide's debut album, testifies to the increased self-confidence of the band. This was due on the one hand to the rapidly growing success, on the other hand to the entry of the singer Minne Graw, through whom the band got their formative female singing voice. The music on the album testifies to the joy of playing and optimism.
With this new line-up, the band developed songs from eight centuries. Right at the beginning of The Fox and the Raven , Minne Graw shows what can be expected of her singing. In stylistic contrast is Der Rivale , a song from the middle of the 17th century, which describes the feeling of jealousy in rough words.
The oldest text on the album is from the 10th century. The three-part singing and the canon-like melody not only accentuate the mystical character of the text, taken from the Merseburg magic spells , but also complement and reinforce it.
With the two songs Ich jump an disem ringe and Wan si dahs (as much as: “When she swung flax”) the band pays tribute to Minne . The arrangements underline the idyllic , transfigured character of the texts.

Others
- The song of Palestine by Walther von der Vogelweide brought the band the first hard criticism. At a time when the peace movement was emerging , a text calling for a crusade to the Holy Land did not seem opportune to many . The arrangement of this song - Walther's only song whose melody has been handed down - has become the model for many modern interpretations.
- In Minne Graw it is not a pseudonym .
