Allen Lester Crabbe III (born April 9, 1992 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American basketball player .

Career

Crabbe first played three years of college basketball at the University of California, Berkeley , where he averaged 15.7 points and 5.7 rebounds before signing up for the 2013 NBA draft . In the draft he was first selected in 31st place by the Cleveland Cavaliers and shortly thereafter transferred to the Portland Trail Blazers . The first two years in Portland Crabbe came only irregular missions and was often posted to the D-League development league for the Idaho Stampede . In his third year he made his breakthrough as a rotation player and scored an average of 10.3 points in the 2015/16 season and hit 39% of his three-point throws.

He then received an offer from the Brooklyn Nets that summer for $ 75 million for four years. Portland had the right to tie in with the Offer and keep Crabbe, which they did. In the 2016/17 season , Crabbe was able to maintain its performance from the previous year. However, Crabbe failed to take his game to the next level as the Trail Blazers had hoped. So the Portland Crabbe franchise transferred Andrew Nicholson to the Brooklyn Nets to save his high salary.
