The Allerbach is a five-kilometer-long left tributary of the Warmen Bode in the Harz Mountains .
The source area of the Kleiner Allerbach is located in a swampy wood at an altitude of 560 m above sea level. NN and is located about 100 meters north of the intersection of the district road K 1353 (section Sorge - Elend ) with the Harzquerbahn railway line .
The headwaters of the Großer Allerbach are located on the southwest slope of the Rauher Jakob mountain ( 560 m above sea level ), at an altitude of 540 m above sea level. NN .
The stream flows in an easterly direction down the valley.
Up to its confluence directly next to the state road L 98 (section Tanne - Königshütte ) the Allerbach formed the historical border of the Elbingerode office. There are still numerous boundary stones to the left and right of the stream bank.
