Rough Jacob

The Rauhe Jakob is 568.6  m above sea level. NN high hilltop in the Harz Mountains in the Harz district , Saxony-Anhalt ( Germany ).

Its summit is in the Lower Harz Mountains within the Harz / Saxony-Anhalt Nature Park . It is located around 2.7 km south-southeast of Elend and around 3 km (depending on the beeline ) north-northwest of Tanne . A sub-peak of the Rauhen Jakobs located about 1,000 m northeast of the main peak is the Ramsenhöhe ( 550.2  m above sea level ).

About 1.1 km south-east of its wooded knoll unite the Small and Large Allerbach to Allerbach , north of the mountain passes of the game Bach ; both are left tributaries of the Warmen Bode .
