The Allianz high-rise is located near the Königsworther Platz in Hanover and was built for Allianz insurance in the early 1970s . With a height of 68 meters, the high-rise office building is one of the ten tallest buildings in the Lower Saxony state capital . The location of the high-rise , now marketed as Tower 31 , is Lange Laube 31 in Hanover's Mitte district .

history

The building was erected between 1971 and 1973 as an urban dominant to the southeast of the wide-opening Königsworther Platz according to plans by the architect Arno JL Bayer on the corner of Otto-Brenner- and Brühlstraße. In the years 1996–2000, 2011 and 2012 it was modernized according to plans by BN Architects under the leadership of the architects Jessica Borchardt and Simone Nentwig and replaced by a so-called "single tenant building", i.e. a building with only one user / tenant, converted into a "multi-tenant building", in which individual floors can be flexibly redesigned depending on the office concept . In addition to modernizing the building technology, the almost fully glazed new main entrance area was converted into a foyer with a reception counter and seating by means of " space-creating furniture" and a three-dimensional work by the artist Heiko Zahlmann was added to the interior walls. In 2014, several floors of the building owned by the Dutch company Amelia Asset 1 BV were vacant .
