The Allison Glacier is a glacier that flows from the northern flank of Mount Huggins along the western slopes of the Royal Society Range to the Skelton Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1963 after Lieutenant Commander John Kenneth Allison of the United States Navy , commander of the squadron VX-6, which wintered at McMurdo Station in 1959 .
