Aloe crassipes is a species of aloes in the subfamily of the Affodilla family (Asphodeloideae). The specific epithet crassipes is derived from the Latin words crassus for 'thick' and pes for 'foot'.

Vegetative characteristics
Aloe crassipes grows without a stem or with a very short stem. The approximately 20 to 24 triangular leaves form dense rosettes . The cloudy, glaucous green leaf blade is 40 centimeters long and 7 centimeters wide. The firm, brown-tipped teeth on the leaf edge are 5 millimeters long and 15 millimeters apart.
Inflorescences and flowers
The inflorescence consists of about five branches and reaches a length of 50 to 60 centimeters. The dense, cylindrical-conical grapes are 17 to 25 inches long and 8 inches wide. The deltoid-pointed bracts have a length of 10 millimeters and are 4 millimeters wide. The cloudy yellowish green flowers stand on 14 millimeter long peduncles . The flowers are 38 millimeters long and trimmed at their base. At the level of the ovary , the flowers have a diameter of 10 millimeters. In addition, they are very slightly narrowed and finally very slightly expanded towards the mouth. Your outer tepals are not fused together over a length of 13 millimeters. The stamens and the style protrude up to 1 millimeter from the flower.
Systematics and distribution
Aloe crassipes is common in Sudan and Zambia in thickets of grass in woodlands at altitudes of around 1280 meters.
