The simple inflorescence is up to 45 centimeters long. The heady grapes are 4 to 5 inches long and consist of about 30 flowers . The lanceolate, pointed bracts have a length of up to 25 millimeters and are 6 to 7 millimeters wide. The scarlet, slightly club-shaped flowers are on 25 to 35 millimeter long flower stalks . They are 38 millimeters long and narrowed at their base. Above the ovary , they are gradually widened towards their mouth. Their outer tepals are not fused together almost to their base. The stamens do not protrude and the stylus barely stands out from the flower.
