Alois Leodolter (born August 16, 1931 in Mariazell ) is a former Austrian Nordic combined skier and ski jumper . He took part in the 1960 Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley and landed the first 100-meter flight on Kulm in March 1950 .

Career

At the age of 16, Leodolter was third in cross-country skiing for WSV Mariazell in the Styrian Nordic Championship and thus lagged behind his father Alois Leodolter, who won the race. A year later he won the Styrian youth championship in ski jumping before he also became national champion in 1951.

At the Czech Marusarzówna Memorial in 1957 in Zakopane , Leodolter took third place in the special jumping event behind Harry Glaß and Werner Lesser . At the national level, Leodolter was a four-time champion in Nordic combined. At the Austrian championships in 1952 on the Semmering , he also won the silver medal in ski jumping from the Liechtensteinschanze behind Josef Bradl .

Alois was the older brother of the ski jumper Otto Leodolter (* 1936). Together with him, he was awarded the Styrian Provincial Government's gold medal for sport in 1996.
