Alois Mager

Alois Mager OSB (born August 21, 1883 in Zimmer ob Rottweil , † December 26, 1946 in Salzburg ) was a German philosopher.

Life

In 1903 he entered the Archabbey of Beuron . He studied philosophy and theology in Maria Laach and Beuron and after his ordination in 1909 he studied neo-scholastic philosophy at the University of Leuven from 1910 to 1913 . After receiving his doctorate in Leuven in 1913, he studied in Munich 1913/1914 and experimental psychology from 1919 to 1921. In 1924 he was appointed to the theological faculty in Salzburg , where he initially taught as a lecturer or private lecturer (1925), from 1927 as an associate professor and since 1930 as a full professor of Christian philosophy.

Since 1933 he was an honorary member of the Catholic student association KÖHV Rheno-Juvavia Salzburg.
