Alois Marx

Alois Marx (born August 28, 1900 in Mainz-Kastel ; † June 1, 1979 in Rüsselsheim am Main ) was a Hessian politician ( CDU ). He was a member of the Hessian state parliament .

Life and politics

Alois Marx moved to Rüsselsheim in 1945 when he got a job as a foreman at the Opel factory . In the same year he was elected chairman of the local association of the CDU, later he was a member of the city council and parliamentary group chairman in the Groß-Gerau district assembly . He was a member of the Hessian state parliament from November 20, 1949 as a replacement for Heinrich von Brentano until November 30, 1950. Marx campaigned for the greening of the city of Rüsselsheim. On his initiative there were also tree sponsorships and a flower decoration competition, which is still taking place today.

Honors

In 1968 Marx was awarded the Silver Rose by Count Bernadotte , in 1973 he was granted honorary citizenship . There is a memorial plaque that the city of Rüsselsheim had erected.
