Alphonce Felix Simbu (born February 14, 1992 ) is a Tanzanian long-distance runner who specializes in road running.

Athletic career

He took part in the 2015 World Athletics Championships in Beijing, where he finished twelfth in the marathon with a time of 2:16:58 h .

At the 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro , he finished fifth in the Olympic marathon in 2:11:15 h. He was the flag bearer of the Tanzanian team at the closing ceremony of the games.

2017 started for Simbu in January with victory in the Mumbai Marathon in 2:09:32 h. He achieved his best marathon time at the London Marathon 2017 with 2:09:10 h. In the same place, he won the bronze medal in the marathon at the 2017 World Championships behind the Kenyan Geoffrey Kirui and the Ethiopian Tamirat Tola in 2:09:51 h.
