Altengesäß is a deserted area in the Kressenbach district in the town of Schlüchtern , in the Main-Kinzig district in Hesse .

Geographical location

The exact location of the desert is unknown. The former village was near Kressenbach.

history

Altengesäß was a fiefdom of the Fulda monastery . In 1483 Altengesäß was described as a desert. At that time, the Neuenberg priory of the Fulda monastery left its deserted Altengesäß to a Philipp von Mörle . 1570 followed the loan of the Altengesäß desert by the Fulda monastery to von Mörle, in 1613 to von Hutten , 1633–1680 to von Thüngen and 1682 to von Mauchenheim .
