The building is located south of the historic Quedlinburg old town. The building, which is also listed, is adjacent to Altetopfstraße 9 to the west and Altetopfstraße 7 to the east . The house is registered in the Quedlinburg monument register as a residential building and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site .

Architecture and history

The two-storey half - timbered house was built by the master carpenter Martin Lange in 1687 according to a building inscription . The inscription MARTIN LANGE ZM refers to Lange . There is a mezzanine floor on the lower floor . The facade is decorated with lugs and pyramid beam heads. In addition, there are carved flower tendrils on the threshold . This decoration is typical of houses built by the master carpenter Lange.
