At the robbers was a local situation in the north of Bergisch city Wuppertal .

Location and description

The location was at an altitude of 275  m above sea level. NHN on today's street Am Jagdhaus in the east of the Eckbusch residential area in the Uellendahl-Katernberg district . Neighboring locations are, in addition to the Eckbusch settlement center, the nearby Lipkenskothen as well as Acker , Am Rohm , In den Birken , Am Baum , Grenz Jagdhaus , An der Voßdelle and Am Luhnberg .

The name Am Räuber is mostly no longer in the minds of the population as an independent name for this location; the original place of residence is now on the site of the "Birkenhöhe" elementary school .

history

The location is shown on the Elberfeld measuring table of the editions from the end of the 19th century to the middle of the 20th century, and until 1929 it was on the border between the Lord Mayor of Elberfeld and the rural community of Oberdüssel of the Mayor of Wülfrath .

In the middle of the 20th century, the buildings of the original residential area were removed and new residential developments were created in the area. But this was also torn down again in the 1970s to make room for the elementary school built in 1975.
