action

BJ Quinn is the reigning kickboxing champion . The hothead's biggest competitor is the up-and-coming but unpopular Jacques Denard, who never misses an opportunity to tease him. At a party after a world championship match, Denard flirts with BJ's girlfriend. A dispute develops between BJ and Denard. When an attempt is made to separate the two, BJ accidentally kills a man. He is sentenced to 10 months in prison and is not allowed to compete for several years.

After BJ is released from prison, he tries his hand at judging and training his former competitor and friend, Chad Hunter. But here too he clashes with Denard. Denard seriously injured BJ's protégé in a competition. When BJ tries to confront him at an aftershow party, the situation escalates again and Denard knocks BJ down. BJ retreats to a secluded cottage on the beach and tries to find himself. However, Chad finds him and the two train together. At some point, however, the greasy reporter Willard finds out about the two and provokes BJ and Denard until they agree to a fight for 100,000 US dollars .

The subsequent fight is fierce, but BJ manages to knock Denard out.
