Ammonium tetrachloroplatinate is a crystalline, red, odorless solid that is soluble in water. With creatinine, it forms complexes that can be used in a variety of ways. It has a tetragonal crystal structure with the space group P 4 / mmm (space group no. 123) .
use
Ammonium tetrachloroplatinate is used in photography, as a standard for spectral analysis and for the production of platinum sponges and platinum catalysts. In medicine it is used to detect a contact allergy to platinum.
