Amphoe Khun Yuam (in Thai อำเภอ ขุนยวม ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) of Mae Hong Son Province . The Mae Hong Son Province is located in the northern region of Thailand .

Neighboring districts (from the north clockwise): Amphoe Mueang Mae Hong Son in Mae Hong Son Province, Amphoe Mae Chaem in Chiang Mai Province , Amphoe Mae La Noi in Mae Hong Son and the Kayah State of Myanmar .
The Mae Surin waterfall in the Namtok Mae Surin National Park is located in this district.
history
Mueang Khun Yuam wasraisedto a district ( amphoe )in 1910. Khun Det Pracharak (ขุน เดช ประชา รักษ์ ) was the name of the first head of the district administration.
