Amphoe Mueang Nong Bua Lamphu (in Thai : อำเภอ เมือง หนองบัวลำภู , pronunciation: ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː mɯ̄aŋ nɔ̌ːŋ būa lām pʰūː ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in the province of Nong Bua Lamphu . The province of Nong Bua Lamphu is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .
The capital of Nong Bua Lamphu Province is also called Nong Bua Lamphu .

Nong Bua Lam Phu is located in the northeastern plateau, on the western edge of the Isan . The distance to the capital Bangkok is just over 600 kilometers.
Neighboring districts (clockwise from the south): the Amphoe Non Sang , Si Bun Rueang and Na Klang in the province of Nong Bua Lamphu, and the Amphoe Kut Chap and Nong Wua So in the province of Udon Thani .
