Amphoe Si Bun Rueang ( Thai : อำเภอ ศรีบุญเรือง , pronunciation: ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː sǐː būn rɯ̄aŋ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the southwest of the province of Nong Bua Lamphu . The province of Nong Bua Lamphu is located in the western part of the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Neighboring counties and areas are (clockwise from north): the Amphoe Na Wang , Na Klang , Mueang Nong Bua Lamphu and Non Sang in Nong Bua Lamphu Province, the Amphoe Nong Na Kham and Si Chomphu in Khon Kaen Province , as well as the Amphoe Phu Kradueng , Pha Khao and Erawan in Loei province .

The Maenam Pong ( Pong River ) is an important river in the county.

history

The area of ​​today's district was formerly called Ban Non Sung Plueai and was located in the Tambon Yang Lo of the Amphoe Mueang Nong Bua Lamphu in the province of Udon Thani . On July 16, 1965, the government established the "Branch District" ( King Amphoe ) Si Bun Rueang, which was upgraded to an Amphoe on March 1, 1969.

  • Non Sa-at (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โนนสะอาด ) consists of the entire tambon Non Sa-at.

  • Chom Thong (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล จอมทอง ) consists of parts of the Tambon Si Bun Rueang.
  • Non Sung Plueai (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โนนสูง เปลือย ) consists of the entire Tambon Mueang Mai.
