Amphoe Nong Na Kham ( Thai : อำเภอ หนอง นา คำ ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in the province of Khon Kaen . The province of Khon Kaen is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise): Amphoe Si Bun Rueang and Non Sang the province of Nong Bua Lamphu Province and Amphoe Phu Wiang , Wiang Kao and Si Chomphu in the province of Khon Kaen.

history

Nong Na Kham was first established on April 30, 1994 as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by being separated from Phu Wiang Amphoe .

On May 15, 2007 the Thai government decided to raise all 81 King Amphoe to simple amphoe status in order to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette "Issue 124 chapter 46" on August 24, 2007 this decision officially entered into force.

Local administration

There are two municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Nong Na Kham (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง นา คำ ), consisting of the entire tambon Ban Khok.
  • Khanuan (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ขน วน ), consisting of the entire tambon Khanuan.

There is also a " Tambon Administrative Organization " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organization, TAO):

  • Kut That (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล กุด ธาตุ )
