Amphoe Phu Pha Man ( Thai : อำเภอ ภูผา ม่าน ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in the northwest of the province of Khon Kaen . The province of Khon Kaen is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise): Amphoe Phu Kradueng the province of Loei , Amphoe Chum Phae in the province of Khon Kaen, Amphoe Khon San of Chaiyaphum province and Amphoe Nam Nao of Phetchabun province .

history

Phu Pha Man was initially set up as a “branch circle” ( King Amphoe ) on July 15, 1981 , by separating the two tambon Non Don and Na Fai from the Chum Phae district . The administration started on September 1, 1981, the administration building was officially opened on October 1, 1981. On July 4, 1994, Phu Pha Man was promoted to Amphoe.

Local administration

There are two municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

• Non Khom (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โนน คอม ), consisting of parts of the Tambon Non Khom.
• Phu Pha Man (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ภูผา ม่าน ), consisting of parts of the Tambon Phu Pha Man and other parts of the Tambon Non Khom.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO):

• Na Fai (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล นา ฝาย )
• Phu Pha Man (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ภูผา ม่าน )
