Amphoe Nong Ruea ( Thai : อำเภอ หนองเรือ ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in the province of Khon Kaen . The province of Khon Kaen is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Neighboring counties (clockwise from the west): Amphoe Chum Phae , Phu Wiang , Ubolratana , Ban Fang and Mancha Khiri in Khon Kaen Province and Amphoe Ban Thaen in Chaiyaphum Province .

history

Nong Ruea was first established in 1959 as a “branch circle” ( King Amphoe ) by being separated from the Amphoe Mueang Khon Kaen . On January 31, 1963, Nong Rua was given full amphoe status.

Local administration

There are eight municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Yang Kham (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ยาง คำ ) encompasses the entire Tambon Yang Kham.
  • Non Thong (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โนน ทอง ) includes the entire Tambon Non Thong.
  • Kut Kwang (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล กุด กว้าง ) consists of parts of the Tambon Kut Kwang.
  • Non Sa-at (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โนนสะอาด ) consists of parts of the tambon Non Sa-at.
  • Ban Phue (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ้าน ผื อ ) includes the entire tambon Ban Phue.
  • Don Mong (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ดอน โมง ) includes parts of the Tambon Bang Kong and Chorakhe.
  • Nong Kae (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง แก ) consists of further parts of the Tambon Kut Kwang and Non Sa-at.
  • Nong Ruea (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนองเรือ ) comprises parts of the Tambon Nong Ruea.
